Sapporo
isn't just famous for beer. It's also the home of Ramen, a large bowl
of thin noodles served in a soup, normally made from pork stock. While
Ramen specialists can be found throughout Sapporo, and indeed Japan, there's
one famous road in Sapporo which is packed with nothing else. Here we
are in the appropriately named Ramen-Alley in Sapporo, a street jammed
with countless tiny greasy-spoon cafes, serving Ramen and generally run
by just one fella. It may not look like much, but the Ramen are tasty
tasty tasty! Suffice it to say each cafe reckons it has the best Ramen,
cooked from a secret stock handed down through generations. As such, a
wander along Ramen-Alley will have the proprietors calling out for your
custom, each claiming their noodles are the tastiest in town! This guys
were certainly pretty good!
