Main junction in Akihabara, Tokyo's electronic district. For anyone who knows me, you'll appreciate this is quite literally my heaven. An entire area devoted to electronic goods, often at low, low prices. It's well worth visiting even if you're not into electronics shopping though, becuase the whole place with markets at street level and massive neon above greatly resembles the cinematic vision of Bladerunner. It is one of the archetypal Japanese sights although, like much of Tokyo, best seen at night. Note the shops often close at 6pm though.
