Mmmm! Tasty! Now there's a happy man! Believe it or not, this feast is typical of the kind of meals you get when you stay at a good Ryokan (Japanese B&B). This fabulous spread was at Ugani Ryokan on the island of Rebun-To. A few moments later I was also presented with a large crab's head full of warm sake which I was expected to sip directly from the skull - apparently I requested such a delicacy while I thought I was asking for directions the night before. To be fair, it was actually very tasty!
