Yep, it's the old self-timer pub shot! here we are in Yakatori Alley, where you can get your fill of Kebabs and beer - great stuff, although most of the locals also seemed to think it was okay to regularly throw up beneath the tables. I still haven't figured that one out... Anyway, for the record, on the left is David Hewson, he of the National paper column and a number of novels, while on the right was our host, Alun Williams, then of NEC, and now of Hitachi. Funnily enough I originally met him when he was working for Canon, so there's clearly some kind of Far Eastern thang going on there. And, er, that's yours truly in the middle with the unfeasably large Asahi Super Dry!
